Stephanie Gregory is a licensed family Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York. She grew up in Michigan where she practiced in a hospital as a registered nurse for four years. After moving to New York, she spent one year working in a specialty clinic dealing with head and neck cancer.
She received her BSN at Oakland University and her MSN at Saginaw Valley State University. Throughout her graduate school, she worked with researchers involved with non-pharmacological interventions used to treat anxiety in COPD patients, so she is very familiar with COPD and its repercussions.
Besides practicing medicine, she is very active and enjoys being outside. Her favorite activities include running, hiking, biking and, in the winter, snowboarding and snowshoeing. Her seven nieces and nephews have taught her that she loves being around children. She also has a soft spot for all animals. Specifically, she adores Henry, her miniature dachshund.
She loves traveling! Her favorite places traveled (so far!) have been: St. Tropez, France and Crete. She enjoys trying a variety of foods, but without a doubt, her favorite remains… pizza.
Having a positive outlook is invaluable. She believes that it is the most important aspect of helping patients overcome ailments and/or illnesses. Her emphasis is to treat a problem’s cause, not only its symptoms. By implementing a holistic care approach as often as possible, she ensures her patients maintain the highest possible quality of life.
