She has been a school nurse, a primary care provider for adults and children, and practiced integrative medicine at the Center for Health and Healing at Mount Sinai/Beth Israel.
She specializes in integrative medicine - putting together holistic plans with patients to overcome their illness and promote long-term health. She has extensive training for utilizing in-depth discussions to find patterns of illness then collaborates with patients, creating a holistic treatment strategy. The combination of targeted lifestyle change with correct clinical intervention stimulates the body's own ability to heal and may break the cycle of illness.
Tamar loves NYC because there are so many opportunities to enjoy music, art and diverse cultures. On weekends, she loves to paint landscapes outdoors. This helps her revitalize and rejuvenate after a long week of work. She is blessed with a great supportive family and many close friends.
